Duchamp started out with every intent of being a serious artist. Somewhere down the road he became disillusioned with the way the game was being played once he figured out the rules. This happens to some people. Instead of forced optimism he embraced this frustration and rattled the art world like a disgruntled child shaking an ant farm.
This work, located somewhere in Denton, Texas, was made to be destroyed. Grab your BB gun, slingshot, or Chinese throwing stars and hunt down this pray. Hurry though if you don’t get it the weather will. Made from unfired clay these clay pigeons will soon dissolve back into mud.
Happy hunting,
