I'm Sorry
The initial inspiration for this piece was in the possiblity of changing the way one perceives a pre-existing space. This space already created a
repulsive response when I "accidentally" came across it weeks ago. An originally functional space rendered unusable by countless vandals over a long period of time has been transformed into a useless waste of
space. Or is it?
Strangely, the room has always has remained lit and unlocked. It is an anti-space. A space discovered by an unlucky few. Although it is not a place I would revisit, I felt compelled to document its existence and possibly change its context by infusing an item that has an altogether different set of associations, a bouquet of flowers thus "completing" the image or creating some absurd narrative as if what has happened to the space was a singularly deliberate act.
