| I emptied my antidepressant bottles, labeled them with decorative drawings of fluffy girl things, and filled them with little surprises to make the finder feel good. I have placed them in an environment where people go to get things to make them feel better. Since my paintings are about pleasure I wanted to make something that would bring a little pleasure and fun into someone's life. The little bottles have a fetish quality which reflects the way I feel about the things that inspire my work: flowers, butterflies, my shoes, clothes, jewelry and all my lovely little pills. |
