A few of my favorite things are my old red bicycle (the SkyRider), my vintage pottery collection and talking tech stuff - usually to uninterested parties. I'm looking for listeners.
I attended Indiana University where I studied Mathematics and Computer Science. Computer programming has been a favorite since my first class in the JAVA language. I guess I'm addicted. When I was younger I was sure I wanted to be an architect. I didn't know then it would be software architecture that would be my passion.
My background in an object oriented language like JAVA has been a big influence. The theory and disciplines of good software design are what keep me up late at the drawing board. The coding is a pleasant means to an end.
When I'm not building the database driven web applications that bring GILLEN'S ARMY'S sites to life I like to go for a run, read short stories, walk around looking at trees and of course, shop for mid century pottery.
